I purchased the gamecube and madden 2004 about a week ago.I know alot of people use the ps2 and x-box version, but going online does not interest me right now.I belong to a few different forums, and the amount of cheese on-line with madden is absurd.I downloaded your playbook 2003 & 2004.I can not tell you how many pages it took to download, but quite a few.Can you tell me how to use your plays using the create-a-play.I never used this option ,so i'm really in the dark. The reason I downloaded your playbooks is because the layout was excellent.diagrams, read progressions,ect...I played madden in the past, but never created my own plays.I would not have a problem buying your extended offensive playbook.I think the price is more than fair.I'm a madden alcohlolic(doh!)Since we both own the gc it should not be hard to relate how the options work.I just want to be able to actually create the play using your gameplan.I will look forward for your reply... (A MADDEN BROTHER)...........................

While designing good plays takes quite a bit of work, entering pre-designed plays into a custom playbook is quite easy. If you've never used the create-a-playbook feature before I would recommend just making a custom playbook and trying it out. The interface is quite simple, and you should be able to make basic plays in no time. You can also start by simply adding plays from existing playbooks and just modifying them.

The big thing to look out for is setting up your formations to include motion abilities (on offense) or shifts and coverage audibles (on defense). Formations created completely from scratch do not have these capabilities, so I usually first come up with a basic idea for a formation, pick out an existing formation in any built-in playbook that has similar personnel, copy a play from that formation into my custom playbook, and modify and rename the formation. The copied play can either be modified and kept or deleted. Just don't delete it until after you have made other plays in the formation, because deleting the last play in a formation will automatically delete the formation too.

If you need any more help post another message in this thread, but I really think you can learn all the rest you need to know through a bit of experience. Good Luck!
