I call it the Power T-Spread formation. It's a very flexible formation, it can both pass and run effectively. I think it works best with tall, fast recievers, because they can outjump corners in the endzone. I like to have the FB stay for pass protection, and the RBs go out for swing routes. For run plays, I like power off tackles or sweeps.
Edit: 1 & 2 mean HB1 and HB2 _________________ Either email or PM me for a playbook list. Note: they are REAL playbooks, not Madden ones.

Looks workable. It's very similar to the Jumbo-T formation that was bing in the Packers playbook in 2005.
Do you have any favorite plays? Formations alone won't get things done. Start with one or two favorites.
One more thing: thanks for using the CODE tag, but it works much better when you only use one character per position. If necessary add a key or legend that describes what character means what. In this case I would probably just use 1 and 2 for HB1 and HB2. _________________ Arkaein |

My favorite play is WR Quick Slants. Here are the assignments.
WR1(right side)-2.5 yd slant (just get the angle off of the 5 yarder)(open)
WR2(left side)-"
HB1-N3-NE5
HB2-N3-NW5
FB-Pass Block
Read Progression-
WR1
HB1
HB2
WR2
Pros:
1) Stands up to pass rush because of the quick slant routes
2)Backs are usually one-on-one by a linebacker coming out of the backfield, causing a few matchup problems.
Cons:
1)Works well verses a run or base defense, but a pass defense will cause problems due to more DBs on the field.
2) Not good for long yardage due to quick routes. _________________ Either email or PM me for a playbook list. Note: they are REAL playbooks, not Madden ones.

Another one of my favorites. This time a running play. HB Power Off-Tackle.
Assignments-
HB1-Back Step-Sprint Left
FB- Lead Off LT
HB2-Lead Off LT
Oline-Run Block
WRs- Streak 20 Yd
Pros:
1) With 2 lead blockers, this play is very consistent, rattling off 5 yard gains.
2) Occasionally can break a big gain because of no corners on the outside.
Cons:
1) Very limited flexibility when defense stacks left side.
2) Not great against defenses like Goal Line because of the difference between how many they have in the box, and how many blockers I have.
If anybody has any suggestions, please post them!
Edit: Just got my directions mixed up. The play goes to the left. _________________ Either email or PM me for a playbook list. Note: they are REAL playbooks, not Madden ones.

Abbo55, a few questions:
1) Is the formation given precisely? I mainly ask because you don't use the full 21 squares wide, so there are only 5 open spaces between the tackles and WRs. Is this right, or should the WR have maximum splits?
2) Are the HB routes in WR Quick Slants really supposed to cross over the middle, or are they supposed to flare outwards, and do they go at 45 degree angles like slants (the 5NE and 5NW notation is a little ambiguous, 5N5E or 5N5W would be clearer if that is what you mean).
Finally, to answer All Star's question I beleive that the run specification is correct. Because of the wide split of HB1 the sprint is run inside and angles slightly left, I think this is usually called an "inside handoff". The play seems to work pretty well, at least in Create-a-Playbook mode. _________________ Arkaein |

I just came up with a new play. SB Power Sweep. (Swing Back, the name of HB2)
This play works best when the defense stacks one side because you can just pitch it out and rumble for a big gain.
Assignments:
Oline- Guards pull RT. Rest of Oline just default.
WRs- Go routes
Backs-HB. FB- Lead Far RT
SB- Receive Pitch- Sweep RT
Analysis-
Pros:
1) Takes advantage of stacked defenses when they're out of position
2) Strong lead blocking frees up the perimeter MOST of the time
3) Flexible, can be reversed and pitched far outside
Cons:
1) Sometimes gets dropped for a loss because of the long time to develop
2) Struggles against super-fast defenses. _________________ Either email or PM me for a playbook list. Note: they are REAL playbooks, not Madden ones.
