What are some good in-game power formations? I am creating a team built around the power running game in my franchise, starting from the ground up with the Saints( ), and I want to construct a good playbook but I have no creativity. _________________ Tiki Barber for Pro Bowl 2005 |

the maryland I (or stacked I) with two tightends , and two FB's and one HB in and I formation ... like this:
.........TE.T.G.C.G.T.TE.........
....................QB..................
...........................................
....................FB..................
....................FB..................
....................HB..................
This is my favorite power formation:
but i also use the straight T formation which is already in the game. YOU CAN FIND IT IN THE FALCONS PLAYBOOK. it looks something like this:
......TE.T.G.C.G.T.TE.......
.................QB.................
......................................
............HB.FB.HB...........
i also made a power I formation..
if you have my playbook you should know all these formations .... if you dont have it i can try and send it to you ... but ive had some difficulty sending it ... so you could also ask someone who already has it to send it to you ... |

I think Tiki meant power running formations that are built into the game, not ones you can make yourself.
The Packers, and I believe the Falcons as well have a large set of Full House formations (normal, Weak and Wide, I think) which feature 3 RBs and either 1 TE and 1 WR or no TEs and 2 WR (this one is Full House-Wide).
The Packers also have a Jumbo T formation with 2 TEs and 3 RBs.
As you can tell I use the Pack's playbook a lot, mainly because these big formations work quite well to modify into big formations of my own. |

Strong I-Big is one of my favorite stock power formations. But I'd say that just your basic I-Form is still the best with HB Slam. |

pimpdaddypat, I always thought the Maryland I has two HBs and a FB, not a HB and two FBs...at least from what I've seen in NCAA and such. |

Jumbo from the Packers playbook is the only "real" formation I have copied into my playbook. |
