i saw a thing on a cheats and codes website that was talkin about a sleeper quarterback in madden 2003 named michael bishop who had a really low overall rating but was supposed to out perform kurt warner and bret farve ... i looked him up in my game and even drafted him onto my team in a fantasy draft at the begining of my franchise .... he is only rated as a 52 but i havent really gotten to polay with him much yet so i dont know exactly how good he is ... but in one game he threw a perfect pass to my reciever ron smith that went for like a 61 yard touchdown ... i was wondering if anyone else here had used him and what they thought about him ...

Hmmm, I haven't tried it but I could see Bishop being a pretty good QB compared to his rating for players who like to run and scramble with the QB.

From what I remember, Michael Bishop played at Kansas State, was a decent college passer, good enough at least for a few NFL teams to evaluate him for a 3rd QB slot, though I don't think he ever stuck. His best asset is that he's a runner/option QB a bit in the mold of a Donovan McNabb.

Since a Madden player is rated mainly by the abilities he has which are essential for his position, a QB with good running ability won't be rated high if he is a poor passer. That would be my guess, but I suppose EA could have snuck Bishop in as an easter egg with passing skills better than his ratings as well.

yes it is quite possible that he is an easter egg ... but on the website the post said that the person got him as a free agent and that he was rated as a 79 but when i got him in the fantasy draft he was only a 52
